Be Kind, Rewind Bakuchiol Serum
Be Kind, Rewind Bakuchiol Serum
Inspired by Herbivore Botanical's Bakuchiol (Retail: $54)
A natural, gentler alternative to retinol? And no Blockbuster card required? As if! Truth be told, our Be Kind, Rewind Bakuchiol Serum really didn’t need an introduction, but we went for it anyway.
Bakuchiol is a plant-based ingredient that provides the same age-defying benefits as retinol but without the irritation. Our serum smoothes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while giving your collagen and elastin production a much-needed boost by promoting cellular turnover.

Product Description
Because Bakuchiol gives your collagen production a boost, it also helps improve skin texture and hyperpigmentation. Oh! And unlike traditional retinol products that historically make your skin more sensitive to UV rays, our bakuchiol serum can be used morning and/or at night.
Honorable mention ingredient superstars: Squalane, Vitamin E, and aloe. Squalane is a plant-derived oil that hydrates and moisturizes your skin. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that protects your skin against free radicals, and it’s blessed with moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties, which are great for those with dry or sensitive skin. And last but not least, aloe: Aloe is incredibly moisturizing and soothes inflamed, irritated skin.
Plus, we did the research, so you don’t have to:
Now, our Be Kind, Rewind Serum might be a bakuchiol bombshell, but she also features active ingredients to keep your skin looking smooth, firm, and restored.
Bakuchiol: A plant-based ingredient derived from the psoralea corylifolia plant that provides the same age-defying, collagen-boosting benefits of retinol but without the irritation.
Squalane: A plant-derived oil with deeply hydrating and moisturizing properties. Plus, it’s anti-inflammatory and strengthens your skin’s natural barrier.
Vitamin E: An antioxidant that helps protect your skin against free radicals. It’s also got moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties, which can be helpful for dry or sensitive skin.
Aloe: If you’ve ever had a sunburn (we’ll discuss that later), you’ve probably used some sort of aloe-based product to soothe inflamed, red skin. Not only that, this plant-derived ingredient is incredibly moisturizing.
